Professional and practical skills
Where relevant to a current need, you can tell us about qualified trade, security, technology or other professional experience.
People across Australia can express interest in contributing time, care and relevant skills to support Shield & Rebuild's practical safety and recovery mission after crime.
How you may contribute
Volunteer opportunities depend on current needs. An expression of interest helps our team understand what experience, time and availability you may be able to offer; it is not a commitment from either side.
Where relevant to a current need, you can tell us about qualified trade, security, technology or other professional experience.
Administrative, communications, community-awareness or other practical skills may be helpful when they align with the charity's current priorities.
You can describe the time, location or type of contribution that may be realistic for you. Any next step is discussed only if there is a suitable opportunity.
We welcome interest from people who can communicate respectfully, work within clear boundaries, protect privacy and be honest about their skills and availability. Relevant qualifications or licences can be noted where applicable, but sending an expression of interest does not guarantee acceptance, placement or a particular role.
Please share only the information needed to describe your interest. Do not include client, victim, referral or other sensitive personal information. If an opportunity progresses, Shield & Rebuild may discuss role-appropriate expectations, credentials or suitability checks before any involvement is confirmed.
With your permission, we use Google Analytics to measure visits to public pages, including the donation page and safety resources. We also count clicks that open the GiveNow donation page. That count does not include your name, contact details, payment details, or the amount you give. We do not measure referral, contact, partner, or volunteer pages, and we do not send anything you type into a form. Read our Privacy Policy.
